Community Home Improvement Project in Whitefield

Hi all –

I know it has been a long time since you’ve heard from me, I hope to improve on that soon!  We have another opportunity this year to support CHIP, Inc. with a project in Whitefield.  This year the projects will take place on September 10.  I will be away but David Wright has graciously agreed to lead a crew if we can find volunteers to work at a house on Hollywood Boulevard.  The work involved replacing front steps, repairing another  set of steps, some cleanup of the building and brush around the house.  David Wright is an accomplished carpenter and he will order the supplies needed and direct the work, all you need to do is show up with willing hands and maybe a pair of work gloves.  If he needs additional tools etc. we will let you know.

Last year we worked on replacing trailer skirting at a house in Whitefield and the experience was very rewarding.  We accomplished all of our goals for the day and CHIP provided a wonderful lunch to keep us going.  If you think you would like to join us, please let me know, and sign up for the work crew at www.chipinc.org/volunteer.  Please indicate in the comments section that you would like to help with the Whitefield project because there are many others happening that same day.  And thank you in advance!  Whitefield Cares can make a meaningful contribution by helping our neighbors in Whitefield.

Best,

Lise Hanners
